I am currently seeking an Assistant Professor (AP) or Research Assistant Professor (RAP) position focused on adolescent development and related topics.
·(Update!) I am now working as a PostDoc since 09/2024 in Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta, advised by Professors Yao Zheng. My recent research investigates cross-timescale dynamics, examining how daily fluctuations in adolescent well-being and contextual factors (e.g., parenting practices) interconnect with their long-term development.
·(2024/7) I obtained a Ph.d. degree from the Department of Educational Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, advised by Professors Skyler T. Hawk. My Ph.D. research focuses on the dynamic processes between adolescents and their mothers in Chinese famlies. To accomplish this, I utilize intensive longitudinal data that spans varying time intervals, ranging from days to months.
Research Interests
As a researcher in the field of developmental psychology and family studies, my research topics include:
1) Dynamic Parent-Adolescent Interactions at Different Timescales: Modeling and analyzing dynamic processes in parenting practices within families at multiple timescales;
2) Cross-Timescale Dynamics in Adolescent Development: Linking daily/momentary processes with long-term development over years;
3) Culture-Specific Values That Matter in Parent–Adolescent Dynamics: Investigating how cultural beliefs and values shape parent-adolescent interactions within families.
